Just before President Draupadi Murmu's visit to Visva Bharati University, the university administration issued show-cause notices to seven teachers. According to the information received, show-cause notices were issued to the teachers for writing a letter to the President regarding the current situation of the university. The seven teachers against whom notices have been issued include Sudipta Bhattacharya, Tathagata Chowdhury, Kaushik Bhattacharya, Arindam Chakraborty, Sarathkumar Jana, Samiran Saha, and Rajesh KV.
It is reported that in a letter written to the President, a complaint has been made on behalf of these teachers to the Vice Chancellor of the University Vidyut Chakraborty and an attempt has been made to draw attention to the issue of several financial corruptions in Visva Bharati. President Draupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Shantiniketan on Tuesday. In this context, a letter was written to the Chairman on behalf of the members of the Faculty Association.
